History: A Family Business
Dr. Frank Abbate Sr. discovered chiropractic after sustaining an ankle injury while playing small college basketball. He sought help from his cousin, Dr. Ed Crealese, former president of the Massachusetts Chiropractic Association. Several years later as a Graduate student in Montreal, his Martial Arts instructor, Roger Lavoie, brought him to a Chiropractor/Kinesiologist for help with another ankle injury. It was here that Dr. Abbate found his calling. Within the year he enrolled at Life Chiropractic College in Atlanta, GA. After graduation in 1988 he opened a private practices with an emphasis on Applied Kinesiology, Nutrition, Neuro-emotional Technique, and homeopathy. He treated patients from all over the southeast with is eclectic practice. In 1995, Dr. Abbate and his wife Diane, decided to mover their family back to New England to be closer to their children’s grandmothers. The graduation of his son, Frank, in 2018 makes seven Chiropractors in the family. This year marks 35 years involved in the study of Applied Kinesiology. Dr. Abbate’s daughter is studying to become a Nurse Practitioner and his wife is a Speech Pathologist. As a family, The Abbate’s enjoy helping others to achieve a better quality of life.
